Nandini Vaidyanathan named Business Woman of the year

Nandini Vaidyanathan, who mentored Advisorkhoj was named Business Woman of the year at the Business Goa Awards for Corporate Excellence. Her award citation read as "award given for mentoring over 1500 entrepreneurs in a short span of time and successfully creating an entrepreneruial habitat in India".

About 30% are established businesses who envisioned not just 15-18% YoY growth but an exponential one and we mentored them to craft a road map for that. About 10% are family businesses, right from a typical Marwari trader to a conservative Gujarati businessman, the common point being that they were all running businesses that they had inherited from their grandparents or parents. We mentored them to professionalize, become change-ready and grow to become global entities” said Nandini.

Many of her mentees have become big brands, some even did an IPO and are listed on several prominent stock exchanges and most of them have raised at least two rounds of funding.

Nandini is an alumnus of Delhi School of Economics and London School of Economics, spent 20 years in the corporate sector with MNCs all over the world. She teaches entrepreneurship in several ivy-league business schools across the globe. She is a TED speaker and has authored the bestseller Entrepedia - A Step-by-Step Guide to becoming an Entrepreneur in India.
